The city of Loja has experienced enormous changes over the last years, unfortunately not always based on a technical planning that allows a harmonic development. The environmental problems have multiplied, and gathering of information is crucial to take political decisions and increase civil awareness with regard to urban environmental issues.
In this context and using the GeoCiudades methodology of PNUMA, NCI elaborated GeoLoja, document that contains a social environmental diagnosis which allows to propose a varied of future sceneries according to the approaches and decisions of development to be assumed by the authorities and citizens.
