Our Commitment to Privacy
What information is collected?
Personal information such as name, address, email address, telephone number, credit card information, is collected through the forms on this site, through emails, through phone calls, or through mailed-in reply devices. This information is collected only in connection with specific activities, such as email newsletter subscriptions, donations, and virtual or in-person events.
Provision of this information is voluntary. On some online pages and through direct mailing reply devices, you can submit information about other people. For example, if you make an online gift in honor of someone special and would like them recognized personally, you may choose to submit the honoree’s name, address, email address, and/or telephone number.
When you are using one of Nature and Culture’s online platforms, we may automatically record information such as browsing activity and data displayed or clicked on, and we may collect other information, including, but not limited to, the type of device you use, browser type, operating system version, IP address, data and time of access, and device identifier. This information is used to analyze traffic to and within our website, and to design and improve this site in order to give you the best possible experience.
How is the information used?
If you have provided us with contact information, we may occasionally send you emails, letters, or brochures. If you no longer wish to receive information about our ongoing conservation work, just let us know, and we will immediately remove you from our lists. An unsubscribe link is included on the bottom of every email communication from Nature and Culture.
Similar to many operators of websites, Nature and Culture works with third-party service providers to enhance and improve our platforms. These providers supply tools for traffic monitoring, advertising, surveys, and email marketing. For example, Nature and Culture uses Google Analytics for this purpose.
Nature and Culture does not rent or sell personal donor information.
Our Commitment to Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect. Credit card information is never stored on our website and is securely tokenized by processors.
Our Commitment to Children’s Privacy
Protecting the privacy of the very young is important to us. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we know are under 13. If you are under 18 years old, we suggest that you ask a parent or guardian before submitting any information on or through this site.
Your right to access, update, and correct the information
You can access all your personally identifiable information that we collect online or through mail by emailing Nature and Culture International at [email protected] or calling us at +1 (858) 259-0374.
To protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access, updating, or making corrections to your personal information.
